Part XI of 939 Drawings: My Facebook Friends’ Profile Pictures in Watercolor & Ink

EvanGomez

It’s been over a month! I can hardly believe it. We traveled to Chicago & Detroit and Colorado & Iowa, then I heard my good news that I’m moving to the United Arab Emirates to teach for a year, then we’ve been traveling some more!

We visited some of my family and friends in Georgia and Florida, took the train to NYC for a few days and jumped up to Ann Arbor to see friends. And I have one more road trip in the books before I move: Nashville, TN and Murray, KY.

Needless to say, I’ve fallen a bit behind on my  Facebook Profile Pictures Drawing Project. And just when I had gotten caught up! With this post, I’m up to 362 of  948. That’s only 38% complete!

But I have hopes to get caught up again soon. I’ve given myself until the Fall Equinox: September 22, at 20:44 UTC. Wish me luck!

For now, I’m going to finish cleaning the house and then I’m going back to the dentist today to get a cavity filled.

Sad face.

I always feel like I’ve let someone down when my teeth have issues… I’m not sure whom, maybe ye olde Doc Holliday, my wonderful dentist, whom I’ve heard is related to the original wild wild west Doc Holliday:

“As a young man, Holliday earned a D.D.S. degree and set up a dental practice in Atlanta, Georgia. In 1873 he was diagnosed with tuberculosis, the same disease that had claimed his mother when he was 15. He moved to the American Southwest in hopes that the climate would prolong his life. Taking up gambling as a profession, he subsequently acquired a reputation as a deadly gunman.”
Doc Holliday From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Don’t shoot, Doc Holliday! I promise I’ll floss more often!!

Or, perhaps, I feel ashamed of my teeth because Blake’s are so perfect. He always gets a gold star at the dentist on his teeth! And he doesn’t even floss!!

The only thing I have on him is that my jaw is aligned better because he probably broke his in a bicycle accident years ago. Oh, well. Hopefully he’ll pass on those teeth genetics to our young’uns.

Meanwhile, these drawings look as silly as ever… but I am still enjoying making them.
