MAPC: No “Lotering” in Cape Girardeau

MAPC Cape Girardeau

We had a great time at our first Mid America Print Council Conference! We spent the last three days in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and had so much fun seeing exhibitions, visiting with old friends, attending panel discussions, ogling new woodcut tools and t-shirts and “lotering” about town with our roomie, Andy.

"Trail of Tears" Bar and Grill

The “Trail of Tears” Bar & Grill owned and operated by Veterans. It was never clear whether they understood why we thought the name was worth noting. They invited us inside for some beers. We thought their signboard said “BBQ Rabbit.” Unfortunately, it was just “BBQ Rib-let.”

We spent most of Thursday hanging the show. It was a nice space, but those carpet walls can be trouble sometimes! We had a splendid time at the conference overall. It seemed a big success. Lots of interesting discussions, saw some great prints and we really enjoyed the final banquet and hanging out with all our old Froggie friends and other print friends while meeting new friends, as well!
