My print–Quiltbait V: You’ll Be Shocked to See What This Quilt Looks Like in Real Life; Quilted Repurposed Fabrics with Appliqué, Screenprint, and Machine Embroidery;2018-2019–was accepted to the 3rd Four Rivers Print Biennial, a national juried exhibition open to artists residing in the United States, by juror Mark Pascale. Pascale is a lithographer who has been active in the Chicago art world for nearly forty years, as a curator, researcher, and professor. Pascale is the Janet and Craig Duchossois Curator of Prints and Drawings at The Art Institute of Chicago, and concurrently Senior Lecturer in Printmaking, at School of the Art Institute.
The exhibition, which will be displayed at Carbondale Community Arts, is hosted by Southern Illinois Printworks, a student organization from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Forty-four works were selected from 229 pieces submitted by eighty-seven artists. Awards will be juried from the actual works and the juror will visit Carbondale, IL around the exhibition reception scheduled for Saturday, March 21st, 2020.
