My piece, “Quiltbait I: Cul-du-sac” was featured in the “On the Surface, On the Ramp” Juried exhibition at the St. Louis Artist’s Guild September 20, 2019- October 23, 2019. This exhibition ran concurrently with the Surface Design Association’s Exhibition in the main galleries, “Beyond the Surface.”

Luanne Rimel’s photographic textile work is exhibited nationally and internationally, traveled with Quilt National and exhibited in Smithsonian Craft Shows in Washington DC. Her work is included in the book, Art Quilts of the Midwest, published by University of Iowa Press.
She holds an MFA in Fibers, Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, For 16 years was the Director of Education and head of Fibers at Craft Alliance Center of Art + Design, in St. Louis, MO. See her work locally at Duane Reed Gallery. Currently Luanne is a full time studio artist and gardener.
