Exhaust; Site Specific Installation (with Hannah March Sanders); Crocheted repurposed fabric, bleached fabric, reverse appliqué stitching, and snaps; Approximately 8’x8’x4′; 2016

This work in progress is a collaboration with Hannah March Sanders, comprised of up-cycled fabrics that have been made into yarn and crocheted as well as sewn into reverse appliquéd text attached using pearl button snaps. The project is a continuation of the theme established with Domestic Dependence, namely how does a family comes to terms with bringing another consumer into an already overcrowded world? Exhaust is a further exploration, this time from the perspective of parents of a toddler, one who not only wears us out, but is also already making an impact exhausting the planet.
